Temperance is Jeremiah Beckwith Jr, Cora L. Jackson, Alice James and Shauna Rogers. Since1985, this dynamic Seattle based quartet has delivered contemporary gospel music in tight acappella harmonies to the delight of audiences from the Puget Sound to England. Much of their material is written or arranged by Cora. They are featured vocalists on four recordings: Original Praise (1995) En Masse (1996) Concert of the Cross (1998) and The Rock (2005).

Jeremiah is an original member of Temperance, is an excellent chef, and former director the Messengers of Christ Choir at Walker Chapel AME Church.

Cora is the founder of Temperance, is wife to Edward and co-pastor of Righteous Harvest Christian Fellowship. She directs JudahSong, and sings with The Sound of the Northwest choir. The Jackson's also own Sonojack Records and N D Valle Music. She is the mother of five and grandmother to eight.

Alice is also an original member of Temperance. She is wife of Reverand Jimmie James, is co-pastor of Greater Things Ministries, a mother and a grandmother.

Shauna has been singing with Temperance since 1994. She has an extensive singing resume, and is mother of two, grandmother of one.
